My Fencing Story

As a 12-year-old national competitive fencer, I’ve learned more than just the art of swordplay. Fencing has taught me discipline, perseverance, and the importance of community. Now, I want to share these valuable lessons with others, especially those who may not have the same opportunities I’ve been fortunate to have.

Growing up in a low-income family, I understand the challenges that many children face in accessing sports and extracurricular activities. That’s why I’m passionate about starting a free fencing program for kids in my community. I believe every child deserves the chance to discover their strengths and passions, regardless of their background.

Through this program, I hope to not only teach the technical skills of fencing but also instill confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship in the young participants. Fencing is not just about wielding a blade; it’s about strategy, respect for opponents, and pushing oneself to excel.

By offering this program for free, I aim to break down barriers and provide a welcoming space for children from all walks of life to come together, learn, and grow. I believe that sports have the power to unite us and transcend differences, and I’m excited to be a part of that journey for the kids in my community.
